About the Club

Since the 1970s, the Comox Valley Potters Club has been a community of potters of all levels, sharing, connecting, and developing as artists.

Membership in the club includes access to the North Island College (NIC)’s Ceramics Studio one day a week with weekly kiln firings. We also have access to a variety of kilns through NIC including raku, high-firing gas kilns, and soda firing.

The club provides learning opportunities through shared studio time, member-driven workshops, and social events. The Club hosts two pottery sales events each year. We contribute to the community by hosting a yearly YANA fundraiser, student bursaries and a fundraiser raffle during the sales.

We are a nonprofit organization with over 50 members who share a passion for making pottery and volunteer their time to make the Club successful.

We would like to thank the North Island College for the use of their facilities.

We acknowledge that we are situated in the traditional, ancestral and unceded homelands of the k'ómoks First Nation People. We are grateful for the opportunity to be on this territory.
